Lovely large silver greyhound pendant, originally a brooch.

It's a beautiful head, the expression in the eyes and that open, panting mouth just like so many Greyhounds I have met.

The silver is embossed which means that the back is hollow, but it is not tinny!

The National Coursing Club of England was formed in 1858.

The evolution from coursing to track racing began in 1876, when the first enclosed or

"park" course meet was held.
