I love this ring!
Dating around 1880 (the romantic ribbon) this ring comprises a simple gold band, with, at the front a foliate engraved ribbon, knotted at the centre, and laid onto the band.
From the knot hangs a miniature, but fully formed padlock, set with rubies and engraved to match the ribbon.
The back of the padlock has a tiny glass hair locket panel, and inside brunette plaited hair.
 
The ring is modelled in 15 carat yellow gold.
