Totally fantastic and romantic large Victorian Butterfly brooch
 
How many hearts can you spot??
The top wings are decorated with five witches hearts on either side (you bewitch me)
then the gold wirework loopy canetille pattern is set with a further five tiny hearts.
The bottom wings have six hearts either side and three more hearts in the loops.
The the gold body has a final 5 hearts - thats's 43 hearts!!
 
The butterflies eyes are a pair of cabochon rubies, and there is a natural pearl set onto the body and a further two pearls set into a canetille flourish on the wings.
 
From the wings hang gold beadwork with little balls.
