A victorian high carat gold enamelled egg locket.
Decorated on one side with two love birds and flowers, and on the other with flowers, maybe wild roses. 
From the side you can see the scrolling goldwork with it's engraving matching seamlessly front to back.
The egg is hinged and opens so you can add a memento. It snaps tightly shut
