Unusual and beautiful Victorian cabochon garnet ring, the garnet inlaid with a six pointed star, set with diamonds, the central diamond being a very pretty old cut
 
the shoulders are modelled as interwoven leaves, set with rose cut diamonds set in silver, backed with gold.
The shank comprises three rows of 18 carat gold gold.
