Superb quality large Victorian Bee pendant that also converts into a brooch.
 
The bee two large wings made from silver and backed with gold. and set all over with rose cut diamonds.
His antennae are also set with rose cut diamonds as are the tops of his back legs.
His eyes are cabochon rubies and his head and abdomen are set with a faceted sapphire.
His abdomen is carved from a Tiger's Eye stone into a very realistic abdomen. When the stone catches the light it literally has gold and brown stripes just like a bee!
 
The pendant ring hinges up from under the bee's head, and the brooch fitting can be unscrewed and removed - so clever!!
