Gorgeous Victorian snake pendant dating from around 1870 - 1880.
The snake is set with 62 old cut diamonds approx size .04 carat each ammounting to about 2.48 total carats.
These are set in silver pinched collet settings with gold open back.
The snake twists and turns around himself making a loop at the top from which hangs a gold jump ring for your chain. He looks intently at a ruby stoen on his body.
At the bottom (just under the head, and other hinged bail is concealed, and you can fold it down and add another charm. A diamond heart would be nice, or a ruby drop to match the snakes ruby eyes.
