Very attractive 15 carat gold Victorian chain extender modelled as two snakes coiling around a central almond shaped dendritic agate stone.
 
The snakes have little sleazy eyes and  are chased all over with a tiny diamond pattern that effectively represents their scales.
 
This was a brooch. I have removed the pin and added two gold rings so that this piece can extend a chain by attaching it to dog clips or bolts.
Alternatively it can be woven onto a chain just like a  Victorian slider.
