Very attractive large silver oval buckle locket, the buckle strap decorated with a lattice pattern, the locket with leaves, are they ivy leaves or maybe trillium?
I'm guessing ivy as that symbolism - I cling to thee - often went with the buckle's symbolism of protection.
The back is plain, decorated with only three scored lines around the edge. And the Birmingham hallmarks for silver 1881, and the makers marks G.F.
Presented with a long andtique silver curb chain with barrel clasp.
measures 45mm x 34mm
weighs 23.8g
chain 23.5" long
condition - well loved! The back is quite dinged - see pics
