Really cool Scottish agate bracelet.
I had to get this one. It is such great value and easy to wear. It looks fabulous stacked up with other silver bracelets and cuffs.
It comprises five agate panels in varying shades of brown and beige, carved and polished so that each panel appears as two panels. the ends are finished with decorative silver caps, which are engraved with a foliate motif and chained onto the next panel.
The bracelet opens and closes by way of a silver heart padlock.
This bracelet would look really amazing stacked up on the wrist and worn with a cashmere sweater and jeans.
Antique Scottish agate jewellery is known for its unique banded patterns and is often associated with the Victorian era, especially after Queen Victoria's interest in Scottish culture. These pieces, also called "pebble jewellery", are handcrafted and frequently feature intricate designs such as Celtic knots, thistles, and mosaic-like patterns in settings of gold or silver.
