A particularly fine Georgian urn ring, the urn striped with black enamel on 18 carat gold, with a band of old cut diamonds.
The superfine shoulders represent handles and are set with two more diamonds either side, and the base and the top of the urn are also set with a diamond.
The back of the ring has a glass locket panel behind which is a sepia oval with the initials ‘MW’ inside a laurel wreath
The wavy ribbon band reads -'Mary Widnes OB 13 Jan 1773 aet 76'

Condition - very good for its age, there is no longer any enamel on the band but the lettering is all still proud and sharp and totally legible.
