Stunning Georgian chrysoberyl poissarde hoop earrings circa 1800
 
I'm sorry but the dark days in the uk along with my terrible photography do not do these earrings justice. I hope you can imagine them
 
The old cut style chrysoberyls are set in pinched collet silver settings with open backs which means that they are not too burdensome on the ear - you are looking at 7g on each side.
 
They measure about 42mm in diameter .
 
The hinged tops that go through the ear are high carat gold.
