A rare late 18th/ early 19th century brooch/pendant from the New York store A La Vielle Russie
in 1991 and valued at the time at $5200, thirty four years ago. See letters attached.
The pendant comprises four sardonyx agate miniatures, a cherub and goat, a cherub with horses and chariot, and two roman profiles.
The centre designed as a satellite looking cross set with a large central faceted emerald, and around it four Burma rubies, four emeralds and four old cut diamonds, all in closed back settings.
