Recently I have noticed the interest in airships and Blimps making a comeback as people start to research the skies of the early 20th Century.
 
The first zeppelin, the LZ-1, took flight on July 2, 1900 from a floating hangar on Lake Constance in Germany. The flight was made by Count Ferdinand Graf von Zeppelin, a retired German army officer.
