Beautiful pair of French Clasp mourning/sentimental bracelets with a canine theme. 
The bracelet straps themselves are made from woven hair with gols edging and are an Inch wide.
The clasps themselves are silver gilt with a gold edged, glazed top.
Inside is pierced goldwork designs, one of a dog by a tomb, the other of a dog seated under a tree. The background is an indigo blue enamel on patterned metal.
 
The clasps measure 40mm x 35mm and the bracelets are 7.5" long
 
The original box is beautiful, a red leather, embossed with a vase of tulips and lined with cream silk and worn black velvet. The hinges and fastenings have gone. It can be repaired but looks lovely tied with velvet ribbon.
