Very pretty Georgian pearl locket modelled as a snake eating it's tail, otherwise known as ouroboros, coiled around the crystal locket centre.
The snake is set with graduated natural pearls with a tiny ruby for her eye.
The back has a crystal hinged locket, so it is easy to add a locket of hair or some tiny loose diamonds.
There is also an inscription on the back which reads -
'Souvenir d'un ami perdu' which translates as 'in memory of a lost friend'
