Very attractive Georgian octagonal lozenge shaped sepia brooch circa 1780 depicting a young woman and cherub.

The brooch has a lovely gold zig zag border, with further border of seed pearls and a black enamelled edge.

The back is high carat gold

There is a small gold loop to the rear which I guess held a safety chain.

This brooch could easily be converted or adjusted to be worn as a pendant

Weight - 13.5g

Measures - 37mm x 26mm

condition - there is a hairline crack on the sepia, otherwise very good
