Very unusual and charming twig bracelet circa 1850.
 
At first I thought this was bog oak but I am told it is carved tortoiseshell which is finely carved into wooden twigs. It is accented with tiny high carat gold dots and gold accents on the ends of every twig.
 
Total bracelet length is 9" but can easily be shortened to 8" or 6.5" if you remove one twig.
Each twig measures about 35mm
