Lovely french ring circa 1810-20, decorated with black enamel, with accents of white enamel, in a foliate pattern, the central panel set with a rose cut diamond set in a silver pinched collet setting.

The reverse of the ring has a tiny hinged locket door, no doubt it held hair at one point.

 

size 7.2, the ring has been sized but the hallmarks have been preserved, a shell and a dove.

 

18 carat gold 

weight - 3.8g

condition - the enamel is in good order save slight wear at the back edges.
