Stunning and unusual Late Victorian Heart Locket; the front set with bevelled glass with a surround of 25 old cut diamonds, the top of the locket crowned with an 'M' set with a further 14 smaller old cuts.
The diamonds are set in silver, the back layered with 18 carat gold.
The back of the locket has a contoured heart shaped glass locket back which can be removed by a jeweller and loose diamonds added if desired.

I just had to acquire this piece as recently I had a similar locket to this that said 'father' along the top and i am sure this M is for Mother, although of course it can be any M that you wish it to be!!
