Very attractive early Victorian Butterfly or bug pendant, the wings set with old cut diamonds in silver, the bugs turquoise stomach set in rub over gold.
The whole piece is backed with 18 carat gold with open settings to let the light flood through the stones.
He has little ruby eyes and realistically modelled, with detailed legs and antennae.
 
Looks fab worn with a wild assortment of jewellery, or alone on a simple chain.
