Charming Betrothal navette circa 1780
 
Modelled in 15 carat gold, the inside painted with two hearts tied with a pink bow and to the centre the initials RSN applied in gold with yew trees either side painted in sepia.
 
The back is engraved 'Richard and Suzanna Newman' 
 
There is evidence of a brooch pin having been removed, but removed quite cleanly
