Gorgeous elongated oval, blue enamel Bague Au Firmament ring, dating from around 1820.
The ring is set with a large central 'star' with six further rose cut diamond stars, all set in silver. The blue enamel is set into a gold collet which is further decorated with fine silver beading.
The wide, fancy gold shank is carved with a foliate pattern, the shoulders set with two tiny diamonds either side.
The rear of the ring is set with a thick sheet of yellow gold, engraved with leaves and flowers.
The ring face measures 36mmx 17mm
size - 6 and cannot really be sized
