I always buy these antique whistles when i see them, be it silver or gold, because they are very attractive, make a lovely sound, and are useful for calling the dog, or the husband!
This one has a wooden pea inside and a very pretty foliate engraving.
It is hallmarked for Birmingham, silver, 1909. Maker A& I .. (worn and hard to read)
