Always popular... because they are so darn cool! I was a fan of these from the start of my jewelry career. So contemporary. Great for stacking. Full of meaning!

The buckle hinges open on one side, with a clasp on the other, which clicks neatly into place.

The front of the cuff is engraved with a foliate pattern, typical of the period.

In Victorian times buckles symbolised loyalty, fidelity, and strength. They also represented the binding together of two people in love or in friendship.

This made jewelry with buckle motifs popular tokens of esteem.

This one is my favourite type of buckle cuff (there are 100's of styles) - a buckle and a strap without too much else going on.
