Stunning pendant, if I say so myself!
I acquired the gold part about six months ago and have been
a) wondering what it was
b) wondering how to make it come to life
a) I never really found out. Some said that it was the top of a fob, but I don't think that is correct. My guess is a handkerchief holder as the lion paws with their claws, and the loops, could hold a silk or linen handkerchief.
Who knows? It looks Regency. The three colour goldwork, rose, green and yellow gold, the chasing, the little lion heads. And look at those paws!
b) I found a piece of rutilated quartz which I think works with the gold colours of the 'thing' and my jeweller cleverly set it.
Hope you love it! Looks great on a chunky Prince Of Wales rope twist chain.
