Adorable Victorian High Carat Gold and Diamond Padlock.
 
Modelled in 18 carat gold as a chubby classic padlock shape, the gold is finely chased with a foliate pattern: front and back, and the sides are engraved with a fancy zig-zag. Even the arm is engraved.
 
The front is also decorated with a raised blue guilloche enamel panel, and mounted  in the centre is a gold edged keyhole set with two high topped old cut diamonds.
 
The rear of the piece has an oval glass locket panel that used to contain hair but now is lined with a piece of cream silk.
 
The arm is in good working order and closes with a satisfying click.
