Stunning late 19th Century horse head pendant.
The horse's head and neck decorated with transitional old cut diamonds in silver settings. The horse is wearing a high carat gold bridle and has a gold set ruby cabochon eye.
One of the diamonds has a gold bezel and is slightly raised, to represent a flared nostril.
In total there are 41 diamonds with a total weight of just under 3 carats.
The back is gold with open backs for the diamonds so that the light can flood through.
Converted from a brooch, this piece hangs from a large 10mm gold ring, big enough for any albert chain.
