Really cool 18 carat yellow gold stickpin finely modelled as a hand holding a white top hat. 
The hand sports a white and blue enamelled frilled and turned back cuff with two buttons set with tiny seed pearls.
Below the cuff is a gold flap that clips around the pin of the stick to secure it in position and keep it safe.
 
In the 1890s, white top hats were worn by gentlemen during sporting events or light, casual occasions.
