Beautiful french late 19th Century bracelet in the romantic style.
Made with a very cool coloured metal that looks very like Aluminium - but isn’t!
The bracelet comprises a central oval plaque with two smaller ovals either side.
The ovals are connected figure of 8 style gilded and reeded spacers., their centres set with a faceted garnet.
All the ovals are slightly domed, their silver metal hammered with a fine texture and set with faceted garnets, the central plaque with an oval garnet cabochon, and topped with a cascading ribbon.
The edges of the ovals are engraved with foliate patterns and decorated with gilded blobs.
The bracelet closes with a clasp, the tongue stamped with a French mark.
Very fine quality and looks much more expensive than it is (or than I have priced it at!)
