French 18 Carat Gold Locket With Diamond Ruby And Sapphire Fly
 
Look inside! This wonderful 18 carat gold locket circa 1880 is shaped as a slim rectangle and engraved with a lizard skin pattern. The fly has a ruby head, a sapphire body and diamond wings, all flush set into the gold. The rear of the locket is also set with the same gemstones. The inside is lined with a turquoise velvet which houses four gold and Pearl pins! I was told these pins were for attaching your handkerchief to your garment, or a flower.
It’s just magical.
