Gorgeous pair of 19th century high carat gold snake earrings.
The snakes are twisted around themselves, forming a knot, their heads decorated with royal blue enamel and set with pear shaped rose cut diamonds.
You can see from the faces that these are European snakes, circa 1860.
 
The backs have a shepherds hook with a clip for extra security.
