Fabulous antique pendant modelled as the letters DIEU cut out in 18 carat gold with a gold banner woven through the letters that is enamelled with the words 'vous garde' 
I just love the vibrant colours!
The D is set with sapphires x 13
The I is set with diamonds x 8
The E is set with emeralds x 9
The U is set with rubies x 13
It is a very striking and modern looking piece but it was created in england in about 1880.
The stones are all in open backed settings.
 
Dieu Vous Garde is french for 'God Keep You, God Bless You or God Be With You' 
They all have the same meaning.

Condition - good antique condition. Converted from a brooch. The enamelled 'G' is slightly worn (but i can get it improved if you wish)
