Snake lovers! How cool are these?!
A beautiful pair of 18 carat gold snake earrings, probably European.
 
The snakes are coiled in an elongated knot, their heads set with a flat cut garnet, their eyes with bohemian garnets, and their necks and faces set with four old cut diamonds.
The earrings terminate with a small gold ball on each, that silently tremble with any slight movement.
 
The earrings are like poissardes in that they hinge open from the back and have to go through the ear from behind.
