Really attractive late Victorian 18 carat snake necklace, lariat style.
The snake's body is made up from hundreds of 18 carat gold circles linked together to form a tube, a tube of snake scales!
One end is finshed off with a gold snake tail, the other the gold head, embossed and set with tiny rose cut diamond eyes.
the head is pinned over the body near the tail so that when worn is forms a Y shape.
