19th Century Ship Box Circa 1840-50
A magical box with a double glazed window holding a carved ship within.
The box is fashioned from tortoiseshell, the ship finely carved from horn. I don't know my ships but the ship has a british flag, and a colonial flag too.
I am guessing it was a men's box and so for tobacco or snuff.
measures 98mm x 63mm x 24mm
