Very dramatic and beautiful large ring. Oval in shape with a scene I am guessing, of the Madonna and Child, along with Joseph.
It's a beautiful painting, with colours very fresco like, which makes it seem Italian.
The miniature is original to the ring.
The 18 carat gold ring, with the reeded border and cigar band, are typical of the late 18th Century.
