Rare late Victorian 15 carat gold mechanical charm, modelled as a jockey’s cap with a secret!
The cap hinges open to reveal a game of roulette, and inside the peak of the hat, a tiny fully operational compass. 
The roulette game has a little lever on the right hand side that you flick to spin the roulette wheel and the ball. 
The cap is beautifully designed with engraved swirls in the gold, and the panels delineated with rows of rope twist gold, converging at the top into a gold button.
The  base is decorated with pretty floral engraving.
